Professional and Personalized
Individual Therapy Support Guidance

Each person needs a different path to heal and feel better. That’s why there are therapies like EMDR, DBT, ERP, CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing, offering tools to overcome trauma, manage anxiety, and restore your wellbeing. Here you can explore them and find the one that fits you best.

EMDR Therapy

Perfect if you’re still carrying painful memories: trauma, anxiety, phobias, grief, addictions, or limiting beliefs. You don’t need to relive every detail; through a safe and structured process, your mind learns to release what’s stuck and replace it with healthier patterns.

DBT Therapy

DBT therapy is a great fit if your emotions often feel too big to handle at times. Sadness that feels endless, anger that explodes fast, or anxiety that takes over. It’s designed for people who want real tools to manage intense feelings, stop harmful patterns, and build healthier relationships.

ERP Therapy & other modalities

ERP therapy is a good fit if anxiety, OCD, or phobias keep running your life: whether it’s intrusive thoughts, rituals you can’t stop, or fears that shrink your world. It helps you face what scares you without falling into the same cycles, so your brain relearns that you’re safe and capable.

Frequently Asked Questions

We know starting therapy can bring up many questions, and we’re here to help. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our services, what to expect, and how we can support you on your journey. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to assist!

1. What is therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with the support of a trained mental health professional. It’s a place to understand yourself better, work through challenges, heal from pain, and grow in meaningful ways.

Therapy can help you manage stress, navigate life transitions, improve relationships, process trauma, address anxiety or depression, build self-esteem, and much more. It offers a safe, supportive space to make sense of your experiences, work toward your goals, and move toward the life you want to live.

That depends on you! We’ll talk about what matters most to you—whether that’s relationships, work stress, past experiences, emotions you’re struggling with, or goals you’re working toward. We’ll create a collaborative treatment plan based on your values and goals and move at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

Therapy is different for everyone, but most people describe it as a mix of conversation, insight, support, and practical strategies. Some sessions may feel deep and emotional, while others might be more solution-focused, educational, or reflective. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood—while also offering concrete tools and next steps to help you grow.

Although there are a few states where psychologists can prescribe medication, most do not allow this. As a psychologist licensed in Colorado and Pennsylvania, I do not prescribe medication. If we decide that medication might be helpful for you, I’ll assist you in finding a trusted provider such as a psychiatrist or primary care physician.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some clients find a few months helpful; others benefit from longer-term work. We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs.

Therapy isn’t just for people in crisis. It’s for anyone wanting to grow, heal, or feel better emotionally. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about understanding yourself more deeply, therapy can be a valuable and empowering tool.

Payment is due on the day of each session using the payment method we keep securely on file. My current fees are listed on my Fees page, and I’m happy to talk through any questions during your consultation.

I am an out-of-network (OON) provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please visit my Fees page for more details and tips on navigating this process.

Yes. Sessions are charged on the day of service using the payment method we have on file. We’ll collect this information before our first session to keep things smooth and simple.

Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, just let me know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. Sessions canceled or missed with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed at the full session fee.

We’ll set clear goals together and regularly check in on your progress. You may notice you’re feeling more grounded, making choices more aligned with your values, or responding to stress differently. Growth can be subtle or significant—but we’ll track it together.

Everyone’s journey is different. Some people notice changes within a few sessions; for others, it takes more time. We’ll talk about your goals, consider the work you’re doing both in and outside of therapy, and create a timeline and plan that works for you.

You can book a free 20-minute consultation to get started. I’m happy to talk about your needs and see if we’re a good fit.

I’m based in Pennsylvania and offer teletherapy in 43 states through the PSYPACT agreement. You can check eligible states using this PSYPACT map.

Yes! You’re welcome to call to ask questions or to schedule a consultation. I’ll provide the best number to reach me when you book your free consultation or fill out my contact form.

I offer some evening appointments during the week. I do not offer weekend sessions at this time, but we’ll work together to find a schedule that fits your life.

We’ll set up your schedule during our phone consultation and create a recurring appointment time that works for both of us.

Yes. Your privacy is extremely important to me. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few exceptions required by law—such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or cases involving abuse of children, elders, or dependent adults. I’ll review these exceptions in more detail during our first session.

Of course. Finding the right therapeutic fit is essential. If you ever feel that another therapist might be a better match, I’ll fully support your decision and can help connect you with someone else.

That’s completely okay. You’re always in control of what we talk about. If there’s something you’re not ready to explore, we can wait—or focus on other areas. This is your space, and you set the pace.

Not at all. Therapy is a place for understanding, not judgment. Whatever you’re going through makes sense within the context of your life, and I’m here to support you with compassion and respect.

Not at all. Repetition is often a part of healing. Sometimes we need to return to the same themes before things begin to shift. I’m here to walk with you through that process for as long as you need.
